I am Zachary Bendiks, a second-year undeclared life sciences major at UC Davis (though I will be declaring Microbiology with a Psychology minor at some point this quarter). I was born in England and grew up in the South, but I have lived here in Northern California since just before I began high school. I hope to pursue a career in epidemiology because disease research is a dynamic and intriguing scientific discipline, and expanding human knowledge of pathogens would be a deeply gratifying endeavor for me.
